• Standard application procedure

  Application requirements
  To be eligible for accommodation applicants should be students registered at one of the following colleges in Cologne:
  - University of Cologne
  - University of Applied Sciences Cologne (Campus Deutz, Südstadt and Gummerbach)
  - German Sport University Cologne
  - Academy of Media Arts Cologne
  - Catholic University of Applied Sciences
  - Academy of Music Cologne
  - Cologne Business School
  
  There exists no legal entitlement to accommodation.
  Following groups of students will be given a preferential treatment when renting rooms (in the stated order):
  1. Disabled and students with chronic illness
  2. Students with children
  3. Participants of foreign exchange study programmes and scholarship holders
  4. Students in their first semester (new at the location of the higher education institution)
  5. Students who live outside of the greater Cologne area
  6. Students who receive BAföG or other grants

  Application deadline
  None, but the application should be made as early as possible, ideally one or two semesters in advance.

  Please apply online.
  As soon as a dormitory place is available, you will receive a room offer by e-mail.
  
  Please note: Each month you will receive an e-mail that contains a link that you must confirm within five days to verify you are still interested in a room. If you do not confirm the link, your application will be closed.
