Application requirements
Students of the following institutes of higher education, which are all associated with the Studentenwerk Leipzig, can apply for a room in the halls of residence:
- Leipzig University
- Leipzig University of Applied Sciences (HTWK)
- University of Music and Theatre "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" Leipzig
- Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig (HGB)
- HHL - Leipzig Graduate School of Management
- Leipzig University of Telecommunications (HfTL)
- University of Cooperative Education Saxony
- IBA Leipzig Internationale Berufsakademie
Applicants are required to have received admission to at least one course of study before applying for accommodation.

Immediately after being accepted to study, or as a matriculated student at any time
Application
Please follow these steps for your application:
-Get to know the student halls of residence operated by the Studentenwerk Leipzig and choose up to three halls you would like to live in.
-Apply under this link for a room in the student halls. You will need to attach (as a PDF file) your admission to study or proof of enrolment valid for the date on which you want to move in.
-The Studentenwerk offers you a room with your authentication data.
-Authenticate yourself.
-Accept the offer on your user account.
-Then you will receive a binding reservation with an appointment to sign the rental contract.
-Please go and see your contact person, taking all the necessary documentation with you, and sign the rental agreement.
