Overview

The student housing complex "Campus Süd", built in 1992, is located at the southern end of the campus of the Heinrich Heine University.

The four buildings, three atrium houses and one row house with three entrances each, build the southern border of the university grounds. The complex is surrounded by a generous green area and borders the Botanical Garden and the brook "Brückersbach" in the south.

Rent deposit

A deposit amounting to three monthly rents has to be paid before conclusion of a tenancy agreement. This is returned after the tenancy period, provided there are no outstanding rent payments or damage/wear not attributable to normal use of the rented property.

The deposit is not subject to payment of interest (in compliance with Section 551 of the German Civil Code (§ 551 BGB)), the interest accrued during the tenancy period is invested in maintenance of the respective housing complex. Repayment of the deposit can generally be expected two to three months after moving out, provided the accommodation was surrendered without damage.
