What does the Service Package include?
- A guaranteed accommodation at the beginning of the winter Semester (beginning 1st September or 1st October)
- A furnished room in one of our halls of residence
- Support from our Student Welcome-Tutors

What are the conditions?
- You are an international student/freemover
- You want to organise your international studies already from your home country
- You pay our security deposit as well as three monthly rents in advance
- The minimum rental period is 6 month – the contract cannot be terminated prior to this period

The number of Service Packages is limited and they will be issued based on the order of the bookings. There are no more Service Packages available for the winter semester 2019/2020.

Online application for admission You can also pick up the application form from the information centre for accommodation (Info-Zentrum Wohnen) or print it out. Please send the completed form together with a photograph to the Studierendenwerk Hamburg, Von-Melle-Park 2, 20146 Hamburg, Germany.

Erasmus or central exchange students

It is strongly recommended to apply for one of the rooms set aside for Erasmus and central exchange students in the student dormitories as it is very difficult to find affordable housing in Hamburg on your own. Please contact your programme coordinator in Hamburg and request a housing application form.

Please note that as an exchange student, you may not apply directly to Studierendenwerk Hamburg for a dorm room. Please also note that the deadline for Erasmus and central exchange student housing offers is approximately three to four months before the semester starts.
