Overview
The housing complex "Hagenbeckstraße" was built in a generous garden setting in the traditional style in 1961. A floor was added to the residence in 1995. In 2010/11, the complex underwent a complete energy-based renovation, and the rooms, kitchens, bathrooms and recreation rooms were modernised extensively.
The residence has a total of 230 places, with 211 of these furnished and 19 unfurnished. 204 rooms are in corridor groups, 26 places are in apartments with kitchenettes and own shower bath. Nine-16 students live in each corridor group and they share the modernised sanitary facilities and a fully equipped kitchen with a recreation room. All rooms have internet, telephone and cable TV connection.

The house has two bike garages and a bike workshop. Washing machines and dryers (coin-operated) are located on every floor. Leisure rooms such as a music room, library, fitness room, sewing room, billiard and table football room, a bar and a large garden with barbecue areas offer many opportunities for relaxation and leisure activities.
