In-Country/In Region Scholarships Programme at IITD (Scholarship for Master’s Studies) • DAAD

Objective
The programme aims at fostering strong, internationally oriented higher education systems in South Asia with the capacity to contribute to sustainable development. To this end, scholarships are granted for development-related Master studies for individuals who plan to pursue a career in teaching and / or research at the IIT in Delhi.
Who can apply?
The target group for In-Region-scholarships are graduates and postgraduates from Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal or Sri Lanka with a first academic degree who want to pursue Master’s courses at the IIT Delhi.
What can be funded?
The In-Country/In-Region Scholarship Programme supports studies in subject areas with strong relevance to national development.
The scholarships at IIT Delhi are available in the following fields:
- MTech in Atmospheric and Oceanic Science and Technology
Duration of the funding
The scholarships are awarded for the duration of the standard period of study for the chosen programme (up to a maximum of 24 months).
Value
The scholarship includes a monthly scholarship, travel allowance, printing allowance, study and research allowance, tuition fees.
Selection
The application must be made in two steps:
- First step, all applicants must submit a complete application for the programme via the DAAD Portal.
- Regardless of this first step, applicants must at the same time/as a second step apply for admission at the IIT Delhi using the contact details and procedure prescribed by the institution.
The institution sets its own deadline for the admission process. Please inform yourself in plenty of time about the application process at the host institution.
