Programme Description
The travel grants are intended to assist young US citizens or permanent US residents who write their doctoral theses and wish to access the Herzog August Library for research purposes. Young academics who finished their PhD no more than 3 years ago are also eligible. The funding is worth up to 2,000 USD and can be combined with a doctoral fellowship from the Library. The research stay stretches over a minimum of 4 weeks and can be applied for at any time.
Target Group
young US citizens or permanent US residents writing their doctoral theses or scholars up to 3 years after completing their PhD who require access to the Herzog August Library for research purposes
Academic Requirements
admission to doctoral studies or completion of doctoral studies not longer than 3 years ago
Number of Scholarships
depending on the number of qualified applicants
Duration
at minimum a 4-week stay in Wolfenbüttel
Scholarship Value
up to 2,000 USD
