The Master’s programme in Medical Physics starts twice a year – on 1 October and 1 April – giving you the flexibility to begin your studies when it suits you best. (Just don’t forget to check the application deadlines!)
In the first phase, you’ll build a strong foundation in medical physics and biomedical engineering. A well-balanced curriculum connects theory with practical application, guided by experienced professors and clinical professionals. Core modules ensure a solid knowledge base, while a wide selection of elective courses allows you to tailor your studies to your individual interests and career goals.
The second phase is all about turning knowledge into experience. You’ll engage in project-based practical courses, apply your skills in state-of-the-art university labs, and — as a standout feature — take part in clinical courses held directly in partner hospitals. You’ll learn side by side with leading clinical experts, gaining first-hand insight into real-world workflows and cutting-edge technologies in Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Radiation Therapy — including particle radiation. The programme concludes with a six-month Master’s thesis, which can be completed at our university’s medical physics research institute, in a clinic, or in collaboration with a medical technology company.
And here’s a bonus: every Friday is "Digital Friday". All courses on this day are held exclusively online, giving you greater flexibility, reducing commuting time, and offering a head start into a well-earned weekend — or more time for self-study, part-time jobs, or travel.
