​​​Are you interested in studying computer science at THU – Ulm University of Applied Sciences? We are pleased to welcome you here! 

Do you want to experience the diversity of computer science in English? This is not a problem with the degree programme in Computer Science (CTS). The degree programme is aimed at both German and international applicants who wish to take courses taught in English. You may structure your programme individually, by selecting two focus topics in line with your interests – for the current offering, see the "Course details" section!

The CTS degree programme is characterised by its focus on both modern methods for designing software systems and methods for designing processor-supported hardware. Particular consideration is given to aspects of building complex IT-based systems and the possibility to specialise in industry-relevant fields such as computer engineering, information systems, mobile and web systems, computer graphics and vision, it security, medical information systems and service robotics.

In line with international practice for Bachelor's degree programmes, the programme can be completed in eight semesters. This gives you the latitude to pursue your own interests in an in-depth manner with a total of five elective courses as integral part of your programme. Furthermore, you will learn German during the first three semesters, so that living and further studies in Germany will be supported.

As a seamless further qualification, Ulm University of Applied Sciences additionally offers the Master's programme in "Intelligent Systems"

Course organisation

Application-oriented teaching with many hands-on labs and projects

Eight semesters: Semesters one and two = fundamental studies, semesters three to eight = main studies

In your second year, you will select two focus topics out of eight, according to your specialisation interests. Currently offered focus topics:

Semester contribution

Every semester, you will have to pay a matriculation fee (around 178 EUR as of the summer semester 2024). This fee might be adjusted from time to time.
