The Master's programme comprises a total of four semesters of study: three theory-oriented semesters, including research project and internship, as well as the Master's semester, in which the Master's thesis is to be prepared and defended. Students acquire a total of 120 ECTS. To complete a double Master's degree, you will need to earn at least 30 ECTS at one of the partner universities.
The first semester takes place at a partner university. This semester serves to broaden knowledge in two basic profiles, an engineering- and science-oriented profile and an economic profile. Please note that the first semester is not offered in Mittweida.
The second semester takes place at the University of Applied Sciences Mittweida and serves the "Innovation & Business Expansion" specialisation with four core modules:
- International management
- Risk management and venture capital enterprise
- Business expansion
- Innovation management
The third semester is focused on a research project and an internship. The semester can either be completed in Mittweida or at one of the partner universities. For your internship, you can choose any location worldwide.
In the fourth semester, the scientific graduation with the preparation and defence of the Master's thesis takes place. The thesis is expected to contribute to the academic progress of knowledge in the selected area of choice. The thesis must be written and defended in English at both degree-granting universities.
