Weincampus Neustadt
More than ever before, today’s domestic and international wine industry demands that its business leaders bring not only practical experience but also academic and theoretical knowledge to the job. The Weincampus Neustadt was founded in 2009 to prepare the next generation of young professionals in the wine industry.
Since its founding, the Weincampus Neustadt has earned a respected reputation both in Germany and abroad. Our degree programmes are distinguished by a combination of real-world experience, academic theory, and research, and our satisfied students enjoy excellent career opportunities after graduation.
This programme is made possible by cooperation among three universities of applied sciences in Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Bingen, and Kaiserslautern as well as the Dienstleistungszentrum Ländlicher Raum (DLR) Rheinpfalz (Rural Service Centre of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate) along with over 300 partner companies throughout Germany. Our students enrol and earn their academic degrees at the state-accredited University of Applied Sciences Ludwigshafen am Rhein, which also leads and organises these cooperative educational programmes.
Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society
In 1996, the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society became an independent university of applied sciences. It was originally part of the University of Applied Sciences of the Rhineland Palatinate, founded in 1971. With more than 4,500 students and about 80 teachers in four departments, it is actively integrated into the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region. Its range of courses includes studies in the areas of economic and social sciences. The relevance of the study courses on practice has been one of the most important focuses right from the beginning, combined with an international orientation. In a dialogue with the economy and its needs, the range of courses is being expanded continually. The university's competence lies in the business management courses with an international alignment. There is an intense mediation of business management functions at the focus of most study courses.
The Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society signed the Charter of Diversity in December 2010. The university of applied sciences now belongs to a group of approx. 900 companies and public facilities who consider the introduction of a corporate culture based on recognition and valuation of diversity to be a key factor for their success. In this context, the university of applied sciences considers diversity in its culture and processes, informs and raises awareness among its employees, and reports regularly on current trends, conferences, projects, and many activities.
The Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society stands for:
- mutual respect and valuation
- living diversity and equal opportunities
- reflection and designed change
- dialogue orientation and open-mindedness
- ability to handle criticism and participation
