International medical students and professionals/doctors
The "Technical German for Medical Professions" course is suitable for advanced learners who seek to improve their professional German skills in international groups while experiencing the multifaceted German way of life. Topics from the medical field include the German healthcare system, communication with patients and relatives, anatomy, physiology, symptoms, medication, cooperation in an interdisciplinary context, documentation standards and reporting, job application training and examination formats for medical professionals. Participants will improve their written and oral language skills in order to be able to communicate fluently and adequately in a study and work context. Group and project tasks promote the active and creative use of the German language. Specialist excursions, which offer an insight into German working life in the medical sector, will round off the programme.
At the end of the course, you will receive a certificate.

For this course DAAD university summer course scholarships (usually starting at language level B1) are available. To submit your application, please note the reference number HSK-0930. This number can only be used for presence courses. Applying for attending online courses is not possible.
Minimum requirements: previous knowledge at level B2 or higher
We offer to accommodate participants in student housing. Participants have the following options: single rooms (630 EUR) or twin rooms (410 EUR). Please note that the number of rooms is limited. Kitchens and bathrooms are usually shared. Internet access is provided.
The accommodation will be available from the first day of the course until the afternoon of the last course day.
Apart from the university dining hall, many restaurants in the city centre offer international dishes at affordable prices.
We offer cross-border leisure activities! During the course, different cultural and recreational activities will be offered in and around Aachen, e.g. social get-togethers, guided city tours, and an international dinner. Summer course participants will not only get to know Germany, but they will also get to know Germany's neighbours, as our European city trips will take you to Amsterdam and Brussels at weekends!
