In Würzburg, most of the courses will be conducted in German, and some are in English.

For the time being, no separate application is necessary. If you start your studies in Würzburg in the winter semester, the first four semesters of the double degree programme are almost identical to the regular Bachelor's in Chemistry. To start the double degree programme, regular enrolment in the admission-free Bachelor's in Chemistry is sufficient at the beginning.
The double degree programme in chemistry at the University of Würzburg and CPE Lyon offers a comprehensive curriculum in chemistry and chemical engineering. The participants coming from the University of Würzburg spend two years (the final Bachelor's and the first Master's year) in Lyon before returning to Würzburg. The programme offers a unique, interdisciplinary education in chemistry with a strong focus on research and industrial work placements.
In Lyon, the students will spend two years studying together with the French participants of the programme and other students who are enrolled at the CPE Lyon.
The students will complete two internships during the course of study.
There are generally no tuition fees at the University of Würzburg. However, you must pay the semester contribution each semester for enrolment or registration. The student contribution includes a semester ticket that allows you to use public transportation all throughout the beautiful city of Würzburg.
Student contribution: approx. 146 EUR
The cost of living in Würzburg is low compared to other German cities. Of course, this strongly depends on your individual lifestyle, but you should expect monthly costs of about 940 EUR.
Successful completion of the first two years of a regular Bachelor's programme in chemistry at the University of Würzburg
German: Students from Lyon who want to spend the last semesters of the Master's programme in Würzburg will need to provide proof of knowledge of the German language at a B1 level.
French: B1
English: No language proficiency needs to be proven.
