Would you like to qualify for management positions in the economy and complete a practical course of study? Then the MBA General Management programme at ISM is the right thing for you. You will specifically expand your business and management knowledge and transfer it into professional practice.

The MBA programme is offered entirely in English, and it includes a stay abroad in Spain. In addition, the MBA programme provides you with the advantage of being supervised by a professional coach during the course of your studies. ISM offers high-achieving students who enhance and positively impact the MBA course (i.e. international applicants or female executives) a reduction in tuition fees of up to fifty percent.

Academic admission requirements
  • A first successful degree of at least six semesters of study at a university or a foreign university of corresponding rank
  • at least two to three years of professional experience after the first degree

The admission procedure consists of a personal interview in English. The aim is to assess the applicant's motivation and suitability for his or her professional and private life as well as his or her English language skills.

Language requirements

Applicants should provide proof of English proficiency through one of the following:

  • English certificate – at least level B2 according to European reference framework (must not be older than two years), e.g. TOEFL (at least 80 points Internet-based), IELTS (6.0 or better), or
  • at least 30 ECTS in an English-language university programme or
  • native speaker of English (case-by-case examination)

Possibility of finding part-time employment

As an international student in Germany, you can work part time (20 hours per week) during the semester and full time (40 hours per week) during the semester breaks. This means that over the course of a year, you can work a maximum of 120 full days or 240 half days without requesting approval from the German Employment Agency.
