Our German language course addresses the needs of beginners. The content of the course follows the standards of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) for level A1.1 (beginners with no prior knowledge).
Prerequisite: at least one year of university experience
This course is an introduction to German and is aimed at beginners. Within two weeks, this course will help you develop basic competencies in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in German as well as give you a basic knowledge of German culture with a particular focus on Berlin.
This course is designed to be taken together with our courses in terms two, three, or four to ensure that participants maximise the value of their time in Berlin.

Participants of the TU Berlin Summer University must meet the following requirement: level B2 English or equivalent
German: no prior knowledge required
Hotel room (double occupancy)
Cultural programme sessions during the week after course hours (museum visits, guided walking tours, minigolf, lake excursions) and at the weekend (trips to other cities, such as Dresden, Potsdam, and Leipzig)
