University location

Mannheim, located on the rivers Rhine and Neckar, is a multicultural city in the north of Baden-Württemberg. The city has about 300,000 inhabitants, culturally and sports-wise it has VERY MUCH to offer: universities (besides the university, there are the University of Music, of Social Affairs, the Pop Academy and the Dual University), museums, the castle respectively the castle university, theatre, opera, international festivals, concerts and music all over the place. In addition, Mannheim's clubs and those of the region are "first class" in ice hockey, handball and canoeing.

Mannheim right in the heart – time to discover
Thanks to its geographical location, Mannheim is an excellent starting point for touring Germany and Europe: it takes just 30 minutes by train to reach "Mainhattan," the banking metropolis of Frankfurt and its international airport; about 20 km away is the romantic town of Heidelberg. It takes just over three hours by train to reach Paris. The green soul of Germany, the Black Forest, or the picturesque Palatinate with its vineyards and cosy wineries are very close and invite to hiking and excursions.

Enjoy the quality of life
Mannheim is the city of short distances. No matter what you are in the mood for – fashion, museum or park – everything is very close together here, and that is what makes life so unique in Mannheim. Mannheim is the centre of the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region: lively, diverse, sparkling, and colourful.
