Tourism is one of the most important service sectors in France and Germany. The tourism industry offers summer, sun, beaches and the sea – but behind all that lies extremely professional management. That's why tourism managers need a wealth of business, social and intercultural knowledge in their day-to-day work in order to analyse interrelationships in their industry and develop concepts that work sustainably.
This is precisely the knowledge that the Bachelor’s degree programme in International Tourism Management at the Franco-German Institute of Technology, Economics and Science provides. During six semesters in Metz, France, and at the htw saar in Germany, students will gain the tools they need to make independent decisions in their future careers and to successfully manage the various players. The focus is on the international perspective – because hotels, airlines, tour operators and, above all, customers exist all over the world.
Graduates will have the economic, legal or cultural skills that will enable them to turn trends in the booming tourism industry into real successes. Whether in destination management, working with tour operators, in the hotel industry, with tourism associations, in event and culture management or even with transportation companies: internationally oriented tourism managers are sought after the world over!
