The working language of the programme is German, so a German course is recommended, in order to enable students to fully participate in and profit from the network.

Most projects involve interviews of elderly patients. This will only be possible with fluent German. There are a few positions without this feature though, so we’d like to encourage applications from everywhere. If a PI is interested in a candidate without German skills, we will try to make it possible for the candidate to join the programme.
The International Office helps visiting academics, PhD students, and postdocs who are travelling to Munich for a set period of time to find accommodation.

Rooms in shared flats are popular on the private market and reasonably priced at 400 to 600 EUR per month if located in central parts of Munich.
