Description/content

WHU's Master's in Business Analytics is the newest Master of Science programme in our portfolio. Our highly relevant programme focuses on the areas of data analytics, business fundamentals, and leadership. There is high demand for graduates with competencies in these three core areas. WHU offers you the unique opportunity to combine a broad business background with solid and specialised knowledge of business analytics, data science, and digital transformation.

Course organisation

There are two available tracks for the Master in Business Analytics Programme: 90 credits or 120 credits, lasting 17 or 21 months respectively.

90 credit track (17 months): An accelerated path that includes a one-week international capstone module. This is the standard track for MiBA (Master's in Business Analytics) and is open to students who have completed at least three months of study or work experience outside of Germany.

120 credit track (21 months): This option includes a semester abroad at one of our partner universities worldwide – ideal for students looking for a more extensive international academic experience.

The programme starts at the beginning of September each year. The first two semesters take place at the WHU campus in Vallendar. The core modules impart essential elements and fundamentals for a comprehensive understanding of management as well as analytical methods and tools. The elective courses and concentrations enable you to focus on certain areas that you will need in your future role as an analytics translator. Choose one of the four concentrations in Entrepreneurial AnalyticsFinancial Analytics, Marketing Analytics, and Supply Chain Analytics, or feel free to select different electives in order to design your individual programme according to your own interests and career aspirations.

After your first two semesters at WHU, you will do a mandatory internship over the summer.

After the internship, you can choose to complete a semester abroad at one of WHU's 200+ partner universities worldwide or start working on your Master's thesis.
