Special features regarding teaching
General course of study with the opportunity to select an individual specialisation, e.g. Marketing, Entrepreneurial Management, Personnel and Organisation, Financial Services, Finance and Investment, Company Auditing and Controlling, Corporate Taxation and Tax Law; courses are of outstanding quality thanks to intensive personal supervision of students and the use of active learning and teaching methods (e.g. business simulations, case study competitions, implementation of own empirical projects); professional key skills are taught.

Special features regarding the international orientation
Many elective modules are also taught in English to live up to an increasingly internationally oriented economy. At the same time, our university offers a range of language courses – from beginners to professional level. And for all those who want to spend one or more semesters abroad, there are numerous exchange programmes with partner universities throughout the world. Furthermore, international visiting assistant professors are invited regularly.

Excellent learning/teaching atmosphere in the Oeconomicum – a fantastic new building with state-of-the-art infrastructure (e.g. video/projector systems, monitor systems, document cameras) and separate groups/seminar rooms, study/seating places for students in all levels; numerous study laptops; use of a variety of databases, SPSS, Eviews for writing study projects and final theses.

Outstanding research profile through inter-disciplinary, theoretical and quantitatively- and qualitatively-empirical research in the following fields: Marketing & Management: Customer Relations Management, Personnel Management, Regulation in Organisations, Personnel Management, Strategic and International Management, New Institutionalism and Practice Theories; Accounting, Taxation & Finance: Taxation Problems in Medium-Sized Enterprises, Basel III and Financing of Medium-Sized Enterprises, Finance in the Life Cycle, Investment Theories, Entrepreneurial Finance.

Characteristics of assistance to differently abled persons
Rules on equalisation of disadvantages are enshrined in the exam regulations. In consultation with the student and examiner, the exam committee defines measures for ensuring equivalent exam and course performance. Individual arrangements between students and lecturers are possible and desired in order to address the individual requirements of students with health issues where assignments and exams are concerned.

Characteristics of diversity advancement
Inverted classroom concept, lectures and exercises are offered in English, partially individual exams (exam mode and dates) for Erasmus students, participation in a lecture series for refugees who are interested in enrolling, course guidance centre, individual choice of an exam date in a specific time period for oral exams. Students can decide on the exam dates for which they register. Various equalisation of disadvantages measures are enshrined in the exam regulations.
