Special features library The library system of the FU supplies the members of the FU with information and information infrastructure through 9 cooperatively coupled library areas. It comprises a total of approximately 7 million printed media units, approximately 75,000 e-journals, over 730,000 e-books and 2,000 databases. At the beginning of 2018, the Center for Digital Systems (CeDiS) was organizationally merged with the library system. As a competence centre for e-learning, e-research and multimedia, CeDiS supports all FU institutions in the use of digital media and technologies in research and teaching. more information »

Special features University Sports The university offers its own sports programme. Participation is subject to fees. Students attending the institution can participate in the sports programme of the HTW Berlin University of Applied Sciences, Humboldt University of Berlin (HUB), Technischen Universität Berlin (TU Berlin), and Beuth University of Applied Sciences (BHT). The central facility for university sports of the Free University of Berlin offers a wide range of sports, workshops and sports trips as well as a differentiated program in the field of health promotion for all university members. Taking into account the mission statement of the university and on the basis of the goal agreement for the university sports, every semester, we arrange a comprehensive and high-quality selection of courses for more than 120 types of sports and with up to 800 individual events. more information »
