Special features library The five sites of the German National Library of Science and Technology (TIB), with over 1,800 individual and group workspaces, are open up to 102 hours/week. The library offers access to almost 9 million media items including many specialist journals and digital documentation. As the main German specialist library for Technology, Architecture, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics, the TIB also provides technical information for national and international research and industry. Special features University Sports The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. The programme is open to: Hanover University, the University of Veterinary Medicine Hanover, Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media, Hanover University of Medicine, Leibniz Academy / Leibniz University of Applied Sciences, University of Applied Sciences, Universities of Applied Sciences, Universities of Applied Sciences, Lower Saxony Bremen (HVNB). The Hanover university sports programme offers a wide range of activities including more than 100 different types of sport and 800 courses per semester. The vibrant SportCAMPUS is home to the new CAMPUSFit fitness studio, which is spread across a training area covering 750 m² and sets a high standard for varied and effective fitness training.
