Target group

The DSH course is designed for international students who wish to study at the University of Paderborn in the German language but do not yet fulfil the language requirements.

Description/content

The DSH course prepares for the DSH exam (German proficiency certificate for university entrance). Students will acquire German language skills (speaking, listening comprehension, reading, writing) on CEFR level C1, which enables them to pursue a study programme in German language.

"Ausländische Studierenden-Vertretung ASV" (International Student Union)

The International Student Union (ASV) is a student organisation that represents all of the international students at the University of Paderborn, no matter if they are students attending regular courses, German course participants, or applicants.

The ASV team helps students with accommodation or job searches. They also accompany students to the civil registration office and advise students regarding social matters. Furthermore, the ASV organises sports courses and cultural events, where you can socialise with other international students.
