Description/content

In Germany, Print Media and Packaging Technologies is the first and only international undergraduate programme in engineering dedicated to media. It is exclusively taught in English and designed for students from across the world. This unique subject merges creativity, science, technology, intercultural studies, corporate management, and languages.

Graduates enjoy high quality jobs. The placement rate is 100%. The programme cultivates leaders and practitioners who are well-versed in media matters, positioning them for senior roles in technical, management, and marketing positions worldwide. Graduates work in internationally expanding businesses. The programme is firmly designed to promote proficiency in media engineering. In addition, students will develop critical-thinking and public-speaking skills. Find more information here.

New technologies continue to develop. Variable data printing for the individualisation of packaging and personalisation of commercial print will play a more prominent role in communication and marketing. The symbiotic relationship between the Internet and print media introduces new products and revolutionises the way we communicate, triggering new marketing strategies.

The faculty runs a unique, state-of-the-art learning centre with advanced media technologies, i.e. the latest printing machines used in the industry. It is the largest and best-equipped centre in Europe, featuring numerous laboratories and studios equipped with digital and commercial printing presses, creative printing set-ups, 3D printing facilities, a packaging print factory, and the latest post-press equipment for binding and finishing. Students can also take advantage of a new pre-media facility with the latest digital technologies and specific workflows available to the media industry.
