The teaching is done in English, but some elements like the internship might require German language skills. All non-native German speakers will take a German language course throughout their studies. All German native speakers will study another language (currently French or Spanish).
For studies commencing in the 2024/2025 winter semester, international student tuition fees (§ 3 LHGebG) amount to 1,500 EUR.

Variable data printing for the individualisation of packaging and personalisation of commercial print will play a more prominent role in communication and marketing. The symbiotic relationship between the Internet and print media introduces new products and revolutionises the way we communicate, triggering new marketing strategies.
The faculty runs a unique, state-of-the-art learning centre with advanced media technologies, i.e. the latest printing machines used in the industry. It is the largest and best-equipped centre in Europe, featuring numerous laboratories and studios equipped with digital and commercial printing presses, creative printing set-ups, 3D printing facilities, a packaging print factory, and the latest post-press equipment for binding and finishing. Students can also take advantage of a new pre-media facility with the latest digital technologies and specific workflows available to the media industry.
