This international business programme is designed for students who are interested in international careers.
Join us in learning how global players act and decide, in understanding the impact of digitalisation, and in improving your multicultural awareness and leadership skills. You can specialise in International Marketing, International Accounting and Reporting, or International Logistics.
All lectures and seminars will be taught in small groups of approx. 40 students.

Some of the highlights of the programme are:
core business and management courses with an international focus;
specialisation courses, including projects with firms and institutions;
projects that address global challenges, such as sustainability, entrepreneurship, and digitalisation;
an integrated study abroad semester; and
options for double degree programmes for high performing students with business schools in Europe and the U.S.
The first three semesters are dedicated to general economics and business courses (such as Micro- and Macroeconomics, Financial Analysis, and Cost Accounting) and management courses (such as Operations Management and Strategic Management).
Additionally, you will learn more about the technological and legal environment of global players in courses such as IT, Data Science and Digitalisation, and International Contract Law. Furthermore, courses in Academic Communication & Presentation and Academic Reading & Writing will improve your academic language skills in English.
In the fourth semester, you will choose your specialisation (International Marketing or International Accounting & Reporting or International Logistics) and improve your intercultural skills in preparation for studying aboard.
Your fifth semester starts with your study abroad experience at one of our partner universities (students with a high GPA can apply for a double degree). In your final semester, you will get to select three electives of your choice, and you will complete your Bachelor's thesis.

PDF DownloadStudents must pay 364 EUR for the 2024/2025 winter semester. Upon paying the semester fee, you will receive your student ID, with which you will get discounts on meals in the campus cafeteria ("Mensa") and gain access to on-campus cultural activities such as university sports, choir, a theatre group, and many others. The so-called semester ticket is also included in the semester fee. This ticket entitles you to free public transport within the entire federal state of Saarland.
Approximately 1,000 EUR per month to cover personal expenses
This amount includes estimated costs for accommodation, food, leisure activities, books and study equipment, semester fees, and health insurance charges.

In Saarbrücken, you will be able to find numerous part-time job opportunities for students. Depending on what type of job you are looking for, you may work as an academic assistant at htw saar, or you might prefer to work in a restaurant or in a store in town. With approximately 6,000 students, htw saar – University of Applied Sciences is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in the region. With a population of around one million, Saarland is the smallest of the German federal states. The Lorraine region in France is only a stone’s throw away, and Luxembourg is a mere 90 km from Saarbrücken. Get involved in one of the many sports and cultural clubs around the city and get to know the friendly locals.
For a taste of the good life, go ahead and try out some of the many regional culinary delights in Saarbrücken’s numerous restaurants and cafés.
During the summer months, take a walk or a bike ride along the Saar river. Go ahead and join local students having a picnic on the lush greenery beside the river or during one of their favourite recreational activities: "Schwenken" (having a barbecue).
