Description/content

Greifswald Summer combines four weeks of intensive German lessons at different levels and workshops with a diverse range of cultural events and excursions.

The levels are based on the European Framework of Reference.

You will receive a total of 100 hours of German lessons.

The German courses take place in the mornings. Learning materials are provided. The language courses are complemented by workshops that take place in the afternoon and relate to current topics.

After their participation, course participants receive a certificate attesting to their test results and the ECTS points they have earned. In order to receive the full six ECTS points, regular participation in the language course (five ECTS) and the chosen workshop (one ECTS) is required.

For this course DAAD university summer course scholarships (usually starting at language level B1) are available. If you wish to apply for this course, you can find all necessary information about the scholarship programme and its application requirements here. To submit your application, please note the reference number HSK-7009. This number can only be used for presence courses. Applying for attending online courses is not possible.

Description of social and leisure programme

In the afternoons and evenings, we undertake various activities and excursions in Greifswald and the surrounding area, such as city tours, museum visits, kayak tours, climbing activities and film evenings, etc. In addition, participants can immerse themselves in Greifswald student life together with local students, the buddies.

During the weekends, you have the opportunity to discover Germany on your own.
