German History, Literature and Art from Goethe to the Weimar Republic
(45 contact hours, 5 ECTS credits)
In this seminar, students take a closer look at the "Age of Goethe", the end of the 19th century (Nietzsche), and the revolutionary art movement (Bauhaus and Expressionism). Through excursions and group activities, students explore how contemporary German culture has been shaped by historical developments over the past 200 years.
