During our intensive German courses, we offer additional materials on a learning platform. Therefore, a tablet or notebook will be required in order to participate successfully.
It is essential that our participants regularly attend the face-to-face classes and study or collaborate independently on the online learning platform.

Target group

Our intensive language courses are ideal for international students and prospective students who want to learn German effectively within a rather short time frame and who need an approved certificate for their course of study or job.

Description/content

Our intensive language courses combine diverse and goal-oriented language training with insight into German culture and everyday life in Germany. Course participants at each level will receive a fixed number (200 hours) of language instruction. The courses end with a final test.

We teach levels A1, A2, B1, B2, and C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR):

  • Course duration per level: approx. two months
  • Online placement test prior to course begin
  • 200 teaching units of 45 minutes per day for each level
  • Daily face-to-face lessons, plus additional self-directed learning via an online platform
  • Pre-study activities and learning techniques
  • Teaching and learning materials included
  • Preparation for certified qualifications:
    • the telc examinations A1, A2, B1, B2, and C1 Hochschule
    • the DSH at the Studienkolleg Sachsen of Leipzig University as a prerequisite for studying in Germany

  • Guided tour in Leipzig

Meals

Our course participants can eat at the student cafeteria "Mensa am Park", which is part of the campus of Leipzig University in the city centre.

Close to our institute as well as in the nearby city centre, you will also find a wide variety of cafés, restaurants, and pubs.

Moreover, there are small kitchens in the accommodation, where you can prepare meals on your own.
