The target group of the Winter Course comprises foreign students, postgraduates, and scholars from all fields as well as student groups from our partner universities. The Winter Course is also open to other interested individuals.
General German language skills can be acquired or improved. Students will be taught listening and reading comprehension through guided exercises. They will participate in oral exercises and expand their vocabulary as well as receive instruction in grammar and phonetics. The lessons use up-to-date methods and materials and follow a communicative approach.

Inexpensive meals are available at the university canteens and cafeterias.
The programme includes a guided walk around Göttingen, social and cultural events, sports, language tutorials, and day trips at the weekend. Students will be introduced to the university campus and to the town of Göttingen.
