The course is designed to introduce the complex political and institutional landscape of the European Union. It will explore the EU's governance structure, focusing on the challenges it faces and the innovations that have emerged in response.
Participants will acquire expertise on the EU's history, policy-making processes and policy priorities and discuss how decades of European governance, migration flows, recent crises, and the rise of populist parties impact on European citizens' identity formation, political mobilisation and societal conflict.
The German class is an accompanying general language course that aims at developing and/or deepening the language skills of the students.
