Description/content

The Economics Language Project deals with topics related to both economics and business. The focus will be on the management, control, and organisation of companies; the German tax system; and socially relevant topics such as the shortage of skilled workers. In addition, principles of economics and professions in the business field will be addressed. Special attention will be paid to the use of authentic specialised texts. The lessons will be related to the real world and will include extracurricular places of learning; thus, in addition to the lessons, an excursion relevant to the respective subject will also take place.

Linguistically, the focus will be placed on communication and developing a confident command of the German language, tailored to specific situations. Grammar and technical language aspects will be practised and refined at an advanced level.

The course consists of 25 lessons per week (17 lessons of general language, which include two study groups, and eight lessons of technical language).
